Anja Winter has been organizing guided museum tours for people with sensory disabilities since 2015, turning a chance opportunity into her own self-employed path. Despite receiving no funding, she continues her work with determination, inspired by her disability and supported by her family.

Anja found it difficult to get a job on the market and decided to try self-employment. She has been organizing guided tours in museums for people with sensory disabilities since 2015. It started by chance and was not her goal at the beginning to develop it on a commercial basis.
Unfortunately, she receives no funding. All applications had been rejected. Although, she is receiving consultations from the local desk for integration and self-employment (“Integrationsfachdienst Selbstständigkeit”), which helps a little.
Though it is challenging, her disability gives even more inspiration than is being an obstacle to progress. Anja’s family supported her from the very beginning. The opposite would even be impossible to imagine.
