Free E-Learning Course for Social Enterprises: YES – Youth Entrepreneurship Support
YES (Youth Entrepreneurship Support) is an EU-funded project offering a free e-learning platform – with videos, reading materials and practical assignments that can be worked through at your own pace, from any device.
The course centres on the Business Model Canvas method, a tool for developing a business model in a structured way. It guides you through questions about your target group, value proposition, resources and revenue streams – a process that works just as well for a social enterprise as it does for a classic startup. The course also includes a competency test covering five areas: communication, risk-taking, responsibility, creativity and perseverance.
The platform was developed by the Association of Business Promotion in Romania (APPAR) and the Revita Foundation, a Hungarian NGO with experience in education and project management. The project was funded through the EU’s Interreg Romania-Hungary programme.
The Business Model Canvas is not purely a profit optimisation tool – it can be applied equally well to social impact and non-profit goals. That is exactly what makes this course interesting for social enterprises.
