Vlad Andreev, Photographer, Chisinau
Vlad is an educated engineer. Besides, he has always been passionate about photography. In 2011, he decided to dedicate his life to this passion professionally. Thanks to his talent, he can provide joy to others. People who know Vlad always notice an open smile on his face. His strength and optimism are something everyone can envy. He believes his success has come from working on himself and constantly developing his photography skills. In 2019, Vlad became the “Gala Tinerilor Super Eroi” photographer of the year.
Having cerebral palsy, he has had mobility difficulties since childhood. Despite that, he has always worked hard to improve his abilities (gymnastics, swimming, arm wrestling) which has helped him to be in shape now.
Vlad has been working on various projects for many years, including social ones aimed at charities, where he helped people and taught them how to achieve financial stability. He also launched a personal project “Dizabilitatea văzută altfel” (“Disability from different perspective”) to make society see people with disabilities as equals, since they too can work, study, build families and enjoy life. Vlad is active as a teacher and tutor for young photographers. He expresses his wish to keep mentoring young people with disabilities, being a living example that physical disabilities should not become an obstacle to fulfilling one’s dream. He dreams of going around the world to take photos and achieve being listed as the world’s top 100 photographers.
