Unemployment benefits, while establishing your own business

To be able to keep the unemployment benefits while you establish your own business, the business must be new and able to make you self-sufficient. You must also either own more than 50 per cent of the business alone, or together with one or more others who receive unemployment benefits. You must obtain a professional assessment of your establishment plans from an agency approved by NAV.// If you are responsible for being unemployed, for example because you have resigned without reasonable cause, you will not be granted unemployment benefits during establishment for the first 6 months from when you became unemployed.
