Support for Local Initiative Projects
The National Employment Agency (NAE) of the Republic of Moldova provides subsidies to stimulate the creation of new jobs and reduce unemployment in rural areas. The state covers up to 65% of the project cost, provided the recipient enterprise covers at least 35% of the project value, with the subsidy not exceeding ten national average monthly wages of the previous year. Subsidies are granted to enterprises that create new jobs and employ unemployed persons registered at the territorial subdivision, and that operate in rural areas with high unemployment levels as determined by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection upon the proposal of the National Agency. The program is available at the national level with an emphasis on rural areas.
