Starting a business with a disability – grants and subsidies from Integration office

People with disabilities who are not entitled to unemployment benefit can contact the integration office. A subsidy from the integration office is granted in accordance with § 185 paragraph 3 number 1c SGB IX in conjunction with § 21 SchwbAV under the following conditions:
The business concept is viable.
The entrepreneur has the personal and professional skills to be successful and self-employed.
Self-employment secures the applicant’s livelihood in the long term.
The founder of the business has demonstrably tried in advance to obtain a bank loan.
In addition, the integration office provides subsidies for technical work aids, participation in services to maintain and expand professional knowledge ( § 24 SchwbAV ) and housing assistance ( § 22 SchwbAV ).
