The first DISENEX face to face meeting, which could be only held one year after the project´s beginning due to the COVID-19 pandemics, took place in Maribor, Slovenia, in the middle of October, organized by the partner OZARA d.o.o. Some of the partners met each other for the first time in person. The most important aim of the meeting was to provide an overview of the project´s current stage and to come to a consensus on the next steps.
Besides that, the partners brainstormed the dissemination work and film locations, transformed the stories of persons with disability, who started their own social business into video scripts and defined the appropriate commentators of the videos. The partners also learnt about the challenging and interesting work of Fundacija Prizma / Foundation Prizma & Sociolab Project and the Social Enterprise Pupillam.
DISENEX – Disability Entrepreneurship Expert is an Erasmus+ project, on empowerment of Persons with disabilities (PWDs) through starting their own social business. The project will result in a web portal, containing motivating films, carefully selected open license learning courses on entrepreneurship, DISENEX Helpdesk and legislation framework and support infrastructure in Germany, Italy, Norway, Slovenia and Turkey for people with disabilities, empowering them to make a challenging step into an independent life by starting their own socially-oriented business.
